Ordering a gluten-free pizza every time is an odyssey. The fact that it has to be reserved in advance is incomprehensible, especially when there are pizzerias in the area that offer gluten-free dough without prior notice. Tonight, despite having reserved 2 hours in advance, they rejected my order because they didn't have enough gluten-free dough, as they only defrosted 12! Being the only pizzeria in San Giovanni Lupatoto with gluten-free dough, it seems absurd that on weekends, especially during summer, they make so little available. The surcharge of €2, compared to €0.50 for wholemeal dough, is a disgrace: while wholemeal dough is a personal preference of the customer, gluten-free is a NECESSITY. Not to mention the toppings: those few times I’ve managed to order gluten-free pizza by divine grace, mine was always scant on toppings, and when I say scant, I mean 3 slices of zucchini and 5 pieces of potato, while my friends’ pizzas, with regular dough, had adequate toppings. A disgrace.

Very satisfied with the pizza and the hospitality! Thin and crispy crust and a wide selection from the menu (with vegan and gluten-free options, what a delight!). Excellent value for money. I will return often, absolutely recommended.

Nice place, excellent choice of pizzas and you can tell that the raw materials are of excellent quality. As someone who is lactose intolerant, I can say that there are few pizzerias that offer lactose-free mozzarella as an alternative for any pizza. The gluten-free dough is also excellent. Congratulations.

Da Gianni is a historic restaurant-pizzeria and is quite large as it is spread over two floors, the ground floor and first floor, on a covered terrace that is used as a veranda in winter, to which is attached a small uncovered lower terrace that is used in summer. Going down further, you can find a small garden with games for children while on the first floor an area for play has been created. The restaurant has two ovens and the bathrooms are on the -1 floor. It is possible to order take-away pizzas by going to the place to pick them up and also organize dinners with many people thanks to the spacious environment. From the menu point of view, there is certainly no shortage of choices for pizzas. White pizzas, traditional pizzas, or house special pizzas, some of which are certified vegan. Then you can choose three different bases for the pizza: double dough, whole grain or gluten-free. All pizzas can also be made in baby size. Prices range from €6 to €11 (on average €8 per pizza). Alternatively, there is a complete menu that is just as good, but in my opinion, the pizza is the best you can find in San Giovanni Lupatoto. The desserts are also very good. The staff is very courteous and kind and the service is usually fast.
