We stayed for two nights during the beautiful long weekend of December 8th. Enchanting location overlooking the valley, very comfortable and clean suite, impeccable service, kindness and professionalism are the order of the day, abundant and varied breakfast (very attentive to intolerances), a must-do tour of the Etruscan caves, the restaurant next door "Taverna Barbarossa" has excellent cuisine, and one cannot overlook the possibility of bringing our "furry friends" who are very much welcomed. Just a short walk from San Quirico... 10 out of 10!!!! Thank you very much for the wonderful stay! Highly recommended!!!!

We stayed for 2 nights. I was positively surprised by the kindness (everyone!) of the staff (reception, breakfast room, floor waiter/housekeeper). Good breakfast with many gluten-free options. The room (junior suite) was not brand new but clean and comfortable, nice and new bathroom, stairs to the upper floor not suitable for those with mobility issues. Indoor pool with excellent hot tub, not very large but with many hot tub stations. Additionally, it was the first time we found a hotel of this category that didn't charge us a supplement for our little dog (!!) ❤️. Two "negative" things: there was no chair/sunbed or similar on the terrace, making it unusable during the (few) hours of sun; there was no possibility for a late check-out (not even for a fee). Overall, we liked it very much and will return soon.

Weekend superlative, relaxing, and rejuvenating. The location is beautiful, well-maintained, impeccably clean in every area, and with a charming view. Mrs. Sabrina and Mrs. Stefania at the reception are always very kind and helpful. Spectacular spa light and Etruscan salt caves. I must compliment the attention to celiac disease at breakfast, which is very varied and well-stocked for us, with many packaged products and also some delicious homemade dessert options to choose from. At the Restaurant La Taverna del Barbarossa, there is also plenty of choice for us celiacs with an entire separate menu. Pasta, bread for crostoni, pizza, and desserts, all homemade and very good. Finding such a beautiful place with gluten-free food options has been a delightful discovery. We will return in summer to enjoy the outdoor space even more.

The structure is beautiful, well-maintained, and clean. It features spacious common areas, comfortable both indoors and outdoors. The external pool accessible to all is lovely, surrounded by a nice garden with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas and a fantastic view of the valley. We enjoyed the light spa included in our booking type, which provided access to heated indoor pools with whirlpools, in a well-maintained and very relaxing environment. The breakfast was good, with a variety of sweet and savory gluten-free options. It is located in a great position to visit the fantastic villages and places nearby (e.g., Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino). The center of the village San Quirico d'Orcia is about a ten-minute walk away, where there are several small restaurants offering excellent Tuscan cuisine. In the evening, it’s better to avoid walking because the path isn’t accessible; driving is preferred. If desired, the structure can arrange reservations for lunch and dinner at the nice adjacent restaurant Barbarossa, where we dined several times and always enjoyed it, with reasonably priced meals. We stayed in a junior suite on two levels with a definitely original but somewhat impractical loft. It was poorly lit, and at certain moments in the sleeping area on the upper level, it felt almost suffocating, especially since the only window is on the ground floor, which overlooks the communal parking lot. There is air conditioning, but it only cools the lower part of the space. Aside from this small detail, which didn't prevent us from having a very pleasant stay, we will definitely return to this property, perhaps choosing a classic room on one level.

The structure is very large and beautiful, with ample spaces and plenty of greenery. All environments are comfortable and well-maintained. In particular, the pool is relaxing and pleasant, enjoying both the sun and the shade of trees, and offers a splendid view of the valley. A true oasis of relaxation. I would only suggest stricter control over uncivil guests (the mandatory sanitized path not respected, mandatory shower not respected, small children in the water with possibly dirty diapers). The staff is friendly and helpful throughout. The room we stayed in (no. 210 in the dependance) has many issues. The air conditioning is absolutely inadequate, probably needing a recharge, so in the peak of summer, it cools nothing and you suffocate from the heat. The bed is short for anyone over 1.80 meters tall, and the mattress is very hot and you sink into it. Soundproofing is completely absent, and you can strongly hear the kitchen fan from the restaurant. No complaints about cleanliness. It’s a pity, because it could be a nice room. Regarding breakfast, there are also issues here. The coffee is terrible, and the bread and pastries are touched by staff with bare hands instead of using tongs. Furthermore, having a celiac wife, we were perplexed to see that on one hand there is a good selection of products for intolerances, but on the other hand, there is no attention to avoid contamination: in fact, staff touch the bread with their hands and immediately afterwards use the same hands to take gluten-free foods, which are placed on unwashed plates full of crumbs. The breakfast area is a bit closed in and lacks air. In the attached restaurant, the food is very good. The location is excellent. In just a few minutes on foot (only 300 meters), you reach Porta Cappuccini, which leads into the historic center of San Quirico (the passage through the gate is NOT indicated by Google, which makes you take a longer route), and the road, contrary to what is written in some reviews, is not dark and dangerous at night but well-lit and very convenient.

Perfect stay. The hotel is in a stunning position both scenically and logistically (close to the center of San Quirico). The rooms are spacious and equipped with a fridge, air conditioning, TV, and a small balcony. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast is abundant, varied, and of excellent quality. Special attention to celiacs: they are well-stocked for gluten-free options! The spa paths are wonderful, both the light therapy and the Etruscan caves. We will definitely return.
