We had dinner tonight at this restaurant. Really good, from the appetizers to the sandwiches. Delicious! An experience definitely to be repeated when we return to Palermo! Highly recommended, the interior is also very cozy and well taken care of in every detail! Excellent!

one of my favorite restaurants in Palermo! there is no limit, a celiac person can eat anything!

Absolutely top quality ingredients, and I will probably go back, but it's a shame because the pizza dough has the typical strong taste of "gluten-free", so I couldn't eat the edges. With the topping, it was not noticeable :) and the texture was magnificent. I didn't inquire about the first and second courses, which I honestly expect from a certified place, and I would like a menu with clearer indications for this reason.

Really excellent pizza, both gluten-free and regular! They have a double oven.

gluten-free pizza is not as good as it used to be, it's unimaginable, too bad the dough is not like it was before

We had a wonderful time. We were looking for a restaurant where we could have a good first course, even gluten-free, on Sunday for lunch, and we were satisfied. Relaxed and elegant environment, very kind staff.

Highly recommended place. I went with friends to eat pizza, and it turned out to be really good. The dough is light, and you can also choose the type of flour. There is also a gluten-free option! Excellent service!

I thank all the staff for their kindness and courtesy towards me. I went yesterday for the first time as a celiac and I had read that the place had the AIC sign. I ate a super gluten-free pizza, which even my partner thought was a traditional pizza when he tasted it. I also thought I wouldn't be able to have any appetizers except for fries, and after months I had a super tasty mixed fried dish that was gluten-free. I highly recommend it because besides eating very well, the service is really efficient. Thank you very much, I will return as soon as possible 🩷

Ideal for celiacs. The gluten-free mixed fries are excellent. Too bad I asked for a small portion of fries and it was full. Better to have more croquettes and arancini if I may suggest. The gluten-free Sicilian craft beer is really good. We shared a pizza with sardine meatballs. The meatballs were really too flavorful. I couldn't eat them all even though it was only half, and unfortunately, the tomato was difficult to digest but the dough was excellent. Too much speculation on the dessert. You can't pay 6 euros for a flute of limoncello sorbet. If I had known, I would have chosen something more complex or an ice cream outside. Moral of the story: An appetizer, a pizza, two beers, a water, and a dessert for 47 euros is definitely too much.

Restaurant/pizzeria. A good place with two ovens, one dedicated to celiacs. A large indoor room and a closed outdoor veranda. The menu is quite extensive for both dining and the pizzeria. The pizzas are good and the staff is attentive. The service has improved compared to other times... but in my opinion, the quality of the ingredients used should be better... my experience was not thrilling. For example, I had the Don Gesualdo pizza where the sausage seemed more like ground meat with completely different flavors. In another pizza... the burrata had no flavor. There are many tables and a lot of noise. The quality-price ratio needs to be reconsidered.

At the Pizzeria Don Carmelo restaurant on Via delle Madonie in Palermo, there is a large and spacious venue where you can eat lunch or dinner. The service is fast and attentive, the place is clean, the pizzas are numerous and cooked very well, and there is a menu for children or for those with celiac disease. The only downside is the hamburgers, which I would not recommend. The price for a drink, appetizer, and pizza is around 20 euros. I recommend it especially if you are a large group of people.

Interesting, characteristic, and clean place. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and kind. After placing the order, the pizzas arrived in just 15 minutes despite the place being full. Very good pizzas, both in terms of dough quality and toppings. Among the options, the gluten-free ones were superb. Congratulations. I recommend it!!!

Service and table assistance is impeccable. The dishes are excellent, prepared with top-quality ingredients. There’s too much confusion on some nights; we prefer to go when it’s less crowded. However, I must point out that the service is always fast, even when the restaurant is full! Highly recommended! P.S. Great gluten-free dishes as well!

Experience had exactly yesterday evening, in a white zone (during covid19) and which I can only define as an excellent experience. The place is pleasant and has a nice atmosphere, the decor shows a certain taste. The veranda dedicated to the public is clearly outdoors and this allows for perfect enjoyment in these very special times. In fact, to mitigate the heat of this scorching summer, large air conditioners have been installed that work with water cooling. The food is truly of high quality, worth the price determined. I particularly appreciated the presence of different flours, especially those for celiacs (which not everyone has). But what most determines my rating is certainly the service: excellent! All the employees I interacted with were very polite, professional, friendly, and approachable just right, never overdoing it nor seeming distant. They were able to respond to any request from my table, even the most 'tricky' ones. If I really have to find a small flaw (but really small), it was the speed at certain moments. But it was clear to me that it was not due to negligence on the part of the waitstaff, rather to an excessive workload compared to the available workforce. I think (and hope) that during the weekend they are better proportioned to the certainly larger influx compared to a weekday evening.

Very welcoming, spacious, and clean location. It has both indoor and outdoor space. The menu offers typical dishes from Sicilian cuisine with national and foreign influences, and it is very rich and varied. The service is friendly, although somewhat sparse at the table. Excellent options for those with celiac disease. The bill is appropriate for the quality of the culinary offerings.

I had evaluated this pizzeria online based on its reviews and what consumers said on various sites. When I arrived in Palermo, I didn't hesitate to go there. It's a pizzeria that has ample space, with sheltered indoor and outdoor tables, featuring nice new and decorated furniture. I really like the arrangement of wines on the walls, and I went there for a specific reason: I knew they have a separate oven and preparation area for celiacs. There is a dedicated pizza chef, and the areas are completely separated by a door. Well, what can I say about the menu? It is simply fantastic—there are pizzas that make your mouth water just by reading the toppings. They also have various types of dough in addition to the classic one, and you must absolutely try the Don Carmelo, which is inspired by the name of the pizzeria. The dough is of high quality, the tomato is really good, and taking a glance at the dishes of the neighbors who had ordered a fried appetizer was beautiful to see! I would definitely go back if I found myself in Sicily again! The staff ensures gluten-free dishes by using colored plates compared to the rest of the staff. There is also the option to bring your dog for dinner. The prices are fair and the service is quick and well cared for.
