The Baia del Silenzio Village Resort offers a dining solution with gluten-free options. Customers can find croissants and special pastries for breakfast, and the market is stocked with gluten-free products. However, the variety of options during dinner may be limited.

I stayed 3 days in this village, chosen because it is AIC approved. The initial premises were there: the restaurant, after booking, told me there were no problems, and the bar, upon ordering, had croissants and other pastries for breakfast. Moreover, we were told that the market was stocked with gluten-free products (this was not tested). As for dinner at the restaurant, I had limited choices. They did not bring me bread, and the only available pasta shapes were fusilli and penne (spaghetti was finished, I don't know why since I had reported my celiac disease at the time of booking, and I don't understand how there could be no gluten-free spaghetti if it is on the menu) and for the second course, I ordered a fried fish (which I was assured at the time of booking) but after ordering, the waiter came back saying they could not make it. I then took a grilled fish (naturally gluten-free) for 26 euros, which was overcooked tuna, not very good. For an appetizer, I had a mixed plate of marinated fish (anchovies and swordfish). I asked the waiter to mark the gluten-free items, but he told me it was naturally gluten-free and there was no need. I received an appetizer that also included stuffed peppers (not listed on the menu), and when I asked the waiter what they were stuffed with and if I could eat them, he brushed me off with little explanation, so I preferred not to eat them (they do not have a designated person for celiac disease to ask). Finally, I booked a gluten-free sfogliatella at the bar the day before to have for breakfast the next day and also ordered a vegan croissant (with gluten but lactose-free) for my lactose-intolerant companion (if you are celiac and lactose-intolerant, they have only one type of packaged ice cream at the bar, despite the flyer showing more, and I fear they do not have pastries that are gluten-free and lactose-free). At breakfast, I found a package where the croissant with gluten and gluten-free sfogliatelle had been mixed. I explained to the barista that it had been contaminated and I could no longer eat it (it’s an AIC village, I shouldn’t have to explain this). She tried to fix it by asking the restaurant if they could make me another sfogliatella and assured me it would be ready in 20 minutes. So I had to have breakfast first with a cappuccino and, after more than an hour sitting at the bar, with the sfogliatella (already paid for the day before). In conclusion, I would say that the attention and especially the interest for the celiac customer is truly lacking.

The village is well kept. It's on a hill, so even though it's by the sea, if you are assigned a room near the reception, you need the shuttle to get to the beach or the restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it for those with strollers or prams. The shuttles run continuously, but it's still inconvenient with all that uphill and downhill walking. The entertainment team does their job, they are young but try to involve everyone. At the restaurant, we had full board, so we had an assigned table for the whole week. The food is delicious and of high quality, varied, and the staff is very kind with fast service, especially accommodating with gluten-free options and ready to provide different dishes if requested. The sea is beautiful, but there are rocks very close to the shore that can be a bit limiting, it's sandy but also has stones, so you'll need water shoes to cross it, and then it’s all sand. It’s a mix of sand and stones. There is also a dog beach, and it’s a dog-friendly village, though there might have been too many dogs. One suggestion is to not allow them in the restaurant because it is really small and narrow, and when full, it becomes a challenge to keep an eye on the dogs. The baby dance should be scheduled before 21:30, as there are kids who go to bed early and miss this show. We stayed the first week of September 2025. So, in conclusion, we had a good time, and we might come back.

Earthly paradise, where everything becomes simply wonderful to the eyes. A remedy for those, like me, who live daily in frenzy and stress. Kind, professional, and helpful staff. Very good restaurant, especially attentive to food allergies and intolerances. Highly recommended for celiacs (I am one, and for 15 days I "forgot" my gluten problem because I managed to eat everything and well! Excellent!) The bay... I highly recommend it!!
