Highly recommended place, friendly and courteous staff, the à la carte menu is almost entirely gluten-free (just a couple of dishes, but they can be modified if served without particular sauces). The rice with taleggio cheese and pears is amazing!!! They make the gluten-free bread themselves, the main courses are fantastic, and the wine selection is excellent. What can I say, we will definitely return and recommend it to everyone. Fair prices for the quality of the food.

A local certifiable in the historic center of Pavia in a beautiful setting. Attentive service, very wide gluten-free menu, and prices suitable for the quality offered. In Pavia city, one of the best for celiacs.

Recently, it has become possible to have gluten-free aperitifs, and it is something fantastic! The same things served in a normal aperitif are offered, but gluten-free. Tasting plates of both meat and fish, all excellent, refined, and made with high-quality ingredients.

I am celiac and this place has exceeded all expectations! The kindness and friendliness of the staff are nothing short of admirable. They created an entirely gluten-free menu, where even the other diners were pleasantly surprised by the goodness of the dishes. Excellent quality ingredients, an additional note of merit for the risotto with pumpkin, stracchino cheese, and amaretti; I believe it is the best risotto I've ever had! The gluten-free puff pastry cake was a dream! Fresh and crunchy! Unfortunately, I am not from the area, but if I were to return to Pavia, Locanda del Carmine would definitely be an unmissable stop!

La Locanda del Carmine in Pavia is one of the most appreciated restaurants in the city, offering a wide choice of gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan dishes. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service attentive, and the food of high quality. The wine cellar is well-stocked, and the sommelier Lorella will guide you in choosing wines. One of my favorite restaurants, where I've been a loyal customer since 2014. Exceptional dishes, amazing desserts, a welcoming location, and a "cuddling" and attentive service. A well-stocked wine cellar where you can be guided by Lorella, the owner, who is a sommelier. Quality wines are available even in the "basic" price range. Gluten-free dishes are available (including homemade gluten-free bread and focaccia), as well as vegetarian and vegan options. Every time I return, it is always a guarantee. I have also organized small business dinners here (around ten guests, including foreign visitors), agreeing on a menu in advance, and the evenings have always been highly appreciated.

We had dinner there for my birthday and I must say we were thrilled. Characteristic and well-kept location, in Piazza del Carmine, right in the historic center. We ordered from the menu. For me, a finally high-level gluten-free menu, for the rest of the diners, a classic menu. The dishes are elaborated with high-quality raw materials, cooked and presented beautifully. Recommended wine, excellent. The prices are quite high but absolutely in line with the quality of the dishes. Portions are not exaggerated. The gluten-free bread and focaccia are fantastic. Highly recommended!
