I must admit that rarely, if not almost never, if not really never, have I felt so at ease dining out. Here, there is a separate menu from which one can choose every type of delicacy (I absolutely recommend the pizza and the fried mozzarella balls). The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. In short, definitely a reference point for Sicilian celiacs and beyond.

Excellent in everything! Competent and prepared, the entire menu available in gluten-free version, from fries to fried pizza that they bring as a starter as soon as you sit down. Definitely the best place in Messina to have my daughter dine in total safety.

I am celiac and have tasted many pizzas in many places, the one eaten at the ancestors is undoubtedly the best! Soft and fragrant at the same time, well-leavened and seasoned. Excellent service, very fast. I highly recommend it!

A place I recommend to everyone, especially to people with celiac disease; they cook a variety of dishes and do it well. I’m not celiac, but in the past, I ate there with a celiac girl, and out of curiosity, I tried a gluten-free pizza. I must admit, it was good too. They also have craft beers for "more discerning palates." I’ve attached photos from the last dinner with colleagues. I also recommend trying the mixed fried dishes.

As always, the ancestors pub is in my opinion one of the best that can be found right in the center. Cozy, friendly staff, and now the menu is much richer with availability for gluten-free options and celiacs. Fast service with fairly generous portions. Also nice for its caveman design. 😎

Historic pub in Messina with very unique decor that perfectly suits the name of the place... The menu offers a wide variety from classic to vegetarian, and there are options for celiacs as well. I recommend paying a visit.
