I went a week ago and as a new entry in the celiac world, it wasn't bad at all! Although the prices are a bit high.

As a lactose intolerant person, I often have trouble eating a sandwich in places because usually the bread dough contains milk or removing the cheese makes it miserable. At La Caverna Del Mastro Birraio, it was possible to eat a more than decent sandwich. They replaced the cheese with lactose-free mozzarella, and the taste of the whole sandwich was a spectacle. Very large sandwiches, with tender and tasty meat. We ordered twist fries and sweet ones; the frying was crispy and perfectly cooked. And the beer... the freshly tapped craft beer is excellent. We had both the pale and the red and drank it as if it were water: one sip leads to another. Moreover, the ordered dishes arrived almost immediately, just enough time to cook them, as they say. The place is very large, welcoming, and intuitive; you can easily find the restrooms and the counter at the entrance. The staff is kind and polite. Don’t forget to grab the peanuts in a paper cone at the cauldron as soon as you enter. And if you want to eat here, you need to make a reservation.

A terrible experience caused both by the service and the food. We chose this place because it had a good reputation and had been suggested by some friends. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. First of all, regarding the service, the waitress was quite distracted throughout. She first forgot to note down a Fanta in the order; then brought 3 glasses along with the drinks (1 Coca Cola, 1 Fanta, and 2 small bottles of water) while we were 4 adults and 2 children; finally, she even forgot the cutlery. If we hadn't requested them, she wouldn't have brought them. Moreover, the various waiters who participated in the service seemed inexperienced. The confirmation came when they served the sandwiches: instead of placing them on the table, they handed them over (never seen that in my life). Let's get to the painful point, the FOOD. We ordered a gluten-free sandwich, two pistachio burgers, and a baguette. Speaking of my gluten-free sandwich, both the bread and the chicken burger were overly salty. As for the other two sandwiches with the pistachio burger, there was only sauce made of pistachio, the burger was not stuffed, and the meat lacked flavor. Seriously, it was a terrible experience. Of course, we reported everything to the owner who apologized, but the damage was already done.
