Absolutely exceptional pastry shop, especially for the presence of excellent gluten-free options. I’m particularly referring to the cakes: I bought one for guests at lunch; I had never been here before, so I took a leap of faith, and yet I did great because it was a success, appreciated by everyone, gluten-free and not. The pastry is also exceptional and very safe. Added to the list!

Unfortunately, they no longer provide bar service, so it's only useful for takeout.

It has changed its name to BOMBER but same street, same owners. The ice cream is the best in the area, especially zabaglione and pistachio. Super aperitif at €10. Sweets and cakes are always delicious. A guarantee in Ostia.

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. When I asked for an ice cream cone, I was told that only the cup is gluten-free and that the cones contain gluten. This information was a real alarm bell. If the cones are prepared with gluten and handled in the same environment or with the same tools, it means that all ice cream flavors are potentially at risk of cross-contamination. For someone with celiac disease, even a tiny trace of gluten can cause serious health issues. I understand that managing a gluten-free lab is complex, but the presence of the AIC label creates an expectation of total safety and absence of contamination. Not being able to freely choose an ice cream cone, a simple pleasure for those without intolerances, and having to worry about the contamination of the ice cream itself undermines the meaning of 'certified gluten-free.' I hope you can review your procedures to ensure greater safety and peace of mind for all celiac customers, in line with the expectations that your AIC brand suggests.

"They are a bit dark, the frappe..." "Well, they are fried, it's normal for them to be dark." Maybe it was a distraction... The Holy Spirit isn't always present... Anyway, they weren't as pleasant as one might think. I'll try again. What I write corresponds to the truth. Period. Also because I gain nothing from this, rather I've spent money on it. If they were successful, good for you. Mine was a review of MY experience. Not to say, 'you're not capable of doing your job.' Gluten-free could have been mentioned earlier. Moreover, I wrote that the Holy Spirit isn’t always there because there might be times when they are not as special as you definitely say they are. And I reiterate that on this specific occasion, I did not like them, and to MY taste, they seemed burnt. Surely, a negative review won’t determine the future of your business. Your response was bitter, like the frappe. Liar, I repeat I am not, annoyed, yes."

I was pleased to discover that the laboratory offers a wide range of products for celiacs, from delicious desserts to takeaway pizza, bread, sandwiches, and much more. On Saturday, I bought a delicious mimosa cake that was indistinguishable from the gluten version. Fair prices. A suggestion for the owners to advertise their specialization in providing homemade food for celiacs, a problem that is becoming increasingly widespread and with huge difficulties in finding such products.

Absolutely exceptional pastry laboratory, especially for the presence of very good gluten-free options. I am referring particularly to the cakes: I bought one for guests at lunch; I had never been here so I took a leap of faith, yet I made a great impression because it was a success, highly appreciated by everyone, both celiacs and non-celiacs. Not recommended. Lately, it has been very disappointing; neither gluten-free yeast nor pastries can be found anymore. Today, for the umpteenth and last time, I went to get pastries, but there were only tea biscuits and a mimosa cake, in addition to a couple of single-serving profiteroles that I took, but we couldn't eat them as they tasted old and were very hard. What a shame, it could have become a reference point in Ostia for celiacs. Rude owner, it seems like he is doing you a favor by serving you.

I recently had the opportunity to try one of the delicacies and I have to say I was amazed by the quality and beauty of the cake I chose. I chose the mimosa cake weighing 2.5 kg and I must admit it was an exceptional choice; it was perfectly made, with a soft and light batter and a delicate and tasty cream. Every bite was an explosion of flavors and the presentation of the cake was simply breathtaking. In addition to the goodness of the dessert, it is important to highlight that this pastry shop has a wide selection of gluten-free products, offering delicious options for those with specific dietary needs. The atmosphere of the ice cream shop is welcoming, and the staff is polite and helpful, providing impeccable service and I was impressed by their attention to detail. The mimosa stole the show at my party, leaving all the guests speechless. Not only was it delicious, but it was also a true feast for the eyes. In conclusion, if you are looking for an ice cream shop, bar, and pastry shop that offers high-quality sweets for celiacs, I highly recommend visiting this place. The cake I tried was an unforgettable experience, and I am sure you will be just as satisfied with their other treats.

I called to ask if they had individual gluten-free cakes, and they said yes, and they had many. However, when I went, they didn’t have even a small one, so I settled for pastries. I brought them to a dinner, and I realized while tasting them that they were a bit stale because the cream was still good, the shortcrust was good, but the rest of the pastries were not so great.

Great ice cream, also for celiacs, everything well maintained and cared for. One hopes that this year it will be open all of August... The clientele did not appreciate this closure in mid-August very much.

Exceptional gluten-free pastry shop. Their gluten-free cakes are exquisite and you can't even tell they are made with gluten-free flours! Highly recommended, also for pastries and small cakes.

Excellent pastry shop/ice cream parlor with numerous artisanal gluten-free products, both sweet and savory, tasty and very well made. A must for those, like me, who suffer from gluten intolerance. No one notices the difference: the taste and texture of the products are perfect and very similar to traditional ones.

My company and I frequent this place often for the Gluten Free offers it provides, but what we prefer the most is definitely the Aperitif; rich and tasty. The only downside is perhaps the presence of classic ice cream cones above the counter of tubs, which with the crumbs could risk contaminating the gluten-free flavors if an appropriate palette change is not made; for this reason, we prefer to avoid ice cream.

Blu Ice is an artisanal laboratory, ice cream shop, pastry shop, and gluten-free café. In addition to ice creams, they recommend cakes, tiramisu, and pizza, all gluten-free. They also offer aperitifs for those with celiac disease... Let's say, since it's near the sea, a true lighthouse for those who, like celiacs, must navigate in their own sea... Well done 👍
