One star less because I don't particularly appreciate the blame-shifting talks. In reality, there is a celiac person working in the restaurant who managed to make the fried fish with rice flour, incredibly good.

We had a great time: the tempura fried fish was delicious, and the spaghetti with clams was very good, special wine recommended by Tiziano, the restaurant owner. I am celiac, and the evening before I went in to make a reservation, thinking I would eat a gluten-free pizza the next day (it was highlighted on the website), and Alessia, the owner's daughter, informed me that there would also be the possibility of fried fish... and I was satisfied! My daughters and husband also enjoyed it! Highly recommended!

We ate at this restaurant on Easter Monday, attracted by a sign offering gluten-free pizza. We sat outdoors and ordered 2 pizzas, one of which was gluten-free (I am celiac). After a short wait, a foreign waiter arrived who didn't speak Italian well and gave me the first pizza, which however did not have arugula as expected. I got up and went to talk to the owner who assured me that the pizza was the right one, then he checked the menu, but after speaking with the pizzaiolo, it turned out that the pizza was the gluten one ordered by my husband. Finally, my pizza arrived, which honestly I didn't like very much. When offering gluten-free pizza, attention must be paid. The pizzaiolo should use a plate of a different color or put a flag to distinguish it from the other gluten plates and above all, properly inform the waiter who must know what he is serving. These things are not to be taken lightly. 2 pizzas and 1 liter of water for 40 euros. We will not return.

Pizzeria restaurant in the center of Grado; we shouldn’t expect lavish luxury, but the cuisine is of excellent quality, and the service is attentive and prompt. Officially, the menu can be adapted for those with celiac disease, although one may receive refusals when choosing a calzone or a minimally rich pizza. The final bill is commensurate with the location. We are pleased that the seafood in both the first courses and the pizza is "authentic."

Negative. I am celiac, and I have been to Doge 4 times; I always found it very good, good quality of food, both pizza and fish. However, on Thursday I had a terrible experience; I had reserved table 21, that evening they were very busy and I think they didn't pay attention to my order. As always, I started by saying 'I am celiac' and asked for information on what I wanted to order, a fish appetizer, asking for guarantees and also saying that if there were items with flours, crostini, etc., they should replace them with gluten-free options, without putting bread or anything else because I don’t eat it. Besides this fish appetizer, I ordered grilled zucchini, but they brought me a plate of mixed grilled vegetables. I had them take it back because, for various health reasons, I don’t eat nightshades (peppers and eggplants); it’s not because I want to be difficult but I can't. Anyway, I drank only still water as always, and everything was good. Unfortunately, however, when I got home, I felt sick all night; I even vomited my soul out. I mention alcohol because it could have been a reason to visit... I don't think it was due to not fresh fish because it was good and the place is always full with good turnover... however, this happens to me if there’s something with gluten, as I have been eating gluten-free for 20 years and I am very careful and scrupulous, but sometimes, in restaurants, mistakes can happen due to carelessness. The problem is that we celiacs pay a very high price. I was very disappointed.
